Our History

Our club was developed by Pulte Homes starting in 2001 and was turned over to the membership in April 2007 with the last home closing on July 26, 2007.

The Championship Golf Course was designed by Gordon Lewis and opened in early 2003. Colonial offers a par 72, 18-hole Championship Course that is challenging yet relaxing for golfers of all skill levels. Lakes and breathtaking natural foliage offer picturesque views throughout the round.

The Clubhouse and restaurant opened its doors in late 2005 to excellent member reviews.  IN 2014 the Master Board approved a large renovation of the Clubhouse, enhancing the overall look and capabilities. The renovations inside the clubhouse also included expansion of the patio area, making another great venue for member functions, weddings or casual dining.

There are 8 Har-Tru lighted courts constructed for the tennis enthusiast.  In 2015 we added 4 Pickleball Courts so Members enjoy all aspects of our Tennis Experience. In 2017 4 more Pickleball courts were added to the Pickleball complex, making 8 total courts.

Colonial added 2 Bocce Courts in 2016, which are an instant member favorite. Members will enjoy the courts for league and social play with a covered sitting area and lights. Also in 2016 we renovated the areas around our Snack Bar/Cart Area.

Fitness, aquatics and social activities are also an important part of living the Colonial lifestyle. The fitness center encompasses rejuvenation and healthy living, with the pool and sundeck offering tranquility and relaxation. Colonial is committed to having the latest state of the art equipment for member use.  In 2016 we completed an extensive renovation of one of our 2 Community Pools.
In 2017 Colonial continues the trend of enhancing member amenities and features for our members. The lobby at the activity center will see a renovation soon, along with a complete redo of the building landscaping.  Colonial members enjoy high speed wi-fi internet along with a state of the art entertainment package. In 2018 the entire cable infrastructure will be replaced with a fiber optic network, enhancing property value and reliability.
